**Control Review**

Control stays on my mind. Remedy has once again crafted an engrossing, oddball world with an incredible sense of place. Control is perhaps their weirdest yet, featuring bizarre elements like a talking upside-down pyramid boss. The sharp writing, awesome and varied psychic combat abilities, and an impressively thought-out world make this adventure unforgettable.

Infiltrating the Federal Bureau of Control as Jesse Faden, the Bureau's headquarters initially seem like a nondescript office building. But Control quickly reveals its secrets, transforming Jesse from janitor’s assistant to the new acting director. Despite the mundane beginnings, the game's setting and characters are filled with intriguing and distinctive elements, making every mission a fascinating experience.

**Mind Over Matter**

Control’s lineup of moves makes wielding supernatural abilities incredibly fun. Jesse’s telekinesis stands out, allowing her to hurl objects with satisfying urgency. The game encourages constant movement, balancing offensive and defensive skills. Jesse’s Service Weapon, with its various modes, adds to the dynamic combat, keeping enemies at bay.

**A House Divided**

Remedy’s attention to detail keeps the gray concrete of the Bureau consistently fascinating. The Oldest House’s ability to change shape and internal structure adds an element of surprise, making each area feel distinct. The eclectic main cast, with their unique personalities, adds charm and depth to the story.
