The Granite family of foundation models spans a wide range of types, styles, and tones, including language, code, time series, and science (for example, materials). And there is a lot more in the pipeline.

In this workshop, BJ Hargreave, IBM Senior Technical Staff Member, highlights multiple recipes from the Granite Community’s Cookbooks for Granite models and leads you through a hands-on experience using the Granite models.

To work along with BJ, you'll need 1) a device with Python 3.11 and Jupyter Notebook installed, or 2) a device with a browser and GitHub and Google accounts. But even if you just want to watch how it's done, you'll get a sense of how easy it is to roll up your sleeves and start cooking with Granite!
