Oniro and OpenHarmony are two projects hosted by Eclipse Foundation the first and OpenAtom Foundation the former that are cooperating to build a global interoperable ecosystem in the Open Source operating system domain. The primary objective of this session is to demonstrate how global cooperation between two leading open source foundations, the Eclipse Foundation (Europe) and OpenAtom (China), can create a universally interoperable solution for smart devices. This cooperation has resulted in the development of OpenHarmony and Oniro, operating system platforms designed to serve as a common technology baseline for device manufacturers, thereby reducing technological silos and consolidating expertise within companies.
