CORE (ZX Spectrum)
An ZX Spectrum game from the late 80s. There were no videos of it on Youtube until this one done today (9 Sept 2013). I was amazed when reading a very positive review of this game in 'Your Computer', but have only played it recently. I think the plot revolves around you collecting things and escaping from the planet you are on.
C.O.R.E. stands for Cybernetic Organism Recovery Expedition (so maybe you are on some kind of quest to rescue someone / something).
The game is very large (about 980 screens).
It seems to be just you (as a spaceman) going round collecting dead batteries and the occasional piece of paper.
I had to put in a POKE (cheat), as the game is so hard otherwise.
" THERE'S NOTHING HERE! "
(In space, no-one can hear you scream for your money back.)
