Coros has started selling the Pace 3, a new GPS-enabled smartwatch that's only available with a 1.2-inch display. According to Koros, the smartwatch is based on a transflective LCD panel with a resolution of 240 x 240 pixels and can display 64 colors. While Garmin equips the new Venu 3 series with a gorgeous AMOLED panel, the Coros Pace 3's energy-efficient display helps it outlast many of its competitors.
The Pace 3 is reported to have a typical 24-day battery life, which is 10 days longer than the Garmin Venu 3. In addition, the transflective LCD panel should be easy to read even in bright sunlight. In addition, Coros incorporated 5 LEDs and 4 photodetectors on the back of the smartwatch to measure many health statistics such as heart rate, sleep quality, and blood oxygen levels.
In addition, Coros Pace 3 supports BeiDou, Galileo, GLONASS, GPS, and QZSS location services that can connect to third-party navigation apps like Komoot and Stryd. In addition, Coros has integrated a barometer, digital compass and thermometer for various use cases. The Coros Pace 3 can be ordered with nylon or silicone straps for $229.
