Corsair Virtuoso XT vs Astro A50 - High-quality headset stand off
520This is a video to compare the @corsair Virtuoso XT with the @astrogaming A50 Wireless Gen 4. These are two fantastic headsets with interesting features that make them worth considering. The A50 has long been a favourite headset of mine and the one I'd recommend, but are the features of the Corsair Virtuoso enough to vanquish that?
The A50 gen 4 has remained my favourite for a number of reasons:
1 - Its comfort is unbeaten in my opinion
2 - The charging base station is super convenient and I very rarely need to plug it in
3 - The sound is great for gaming, music, movies or anything else
4 - It has a decent mic (not the best, but not awful either)
5 - It allows me to mic monitor my external mic setup via my GoXLR (very few wireless headsets allow this)

The Corsair Virtuoso meanwhile might be superior thanks to hi-res 96Khz/24-bit audio and more connectivity options. It has wired USB-C connectivity, Bluetooth® with Qualcomm® aptX™ HD, SlipStream wireless connection and 3.5mm too.

However, sadly for me the comfort just isn't there and it's sorely lacking in padding and depth, making it hurt my ears after a short period. It's lighweight and nicely designed both aesthetically and technologically but just doesn't stand up against the A50 for comfort.
