Cosmoteer is a game that caught my eye not only for the ability to make custom space ships, but also for the ability to manage crew and try to individually work out how to destroy opposing ships. In that way, it's a lot like FTL: Faster than Light, but at the same time this game is its own level of deep and engrossing. In this series, I'm going to try to get there. But there's going to be a lot of pain and a lot of dying along the way. Once again, much like FTL.

Cosmoteer: Starship Architect and Commander is a game that's been a long time in development and only recently entered early access. Long story short: it's a lot of fun and clearly a passion project that is worth playing even now before it's 1.0 release date. Build ships, amass fleets, and try to blow up the opposition before you get murdered in space. Fun times were had by someone. Will it be us?
