Cotton was rewarded with a second Willow, but she still had to wait before eating either of them. Silk enthusiastically encouraged Cotton to keep hunting down more of those evil mist forces, almost as if she was in a hurry to get Cotton to stay focused.

Now you're flying through an past floating islands in the evil night sky. The remixed music remains kickass as ever, even if the sound effects aren't as stellar.
The midboss here is a flaming cat beast called Balrog. Every time it jumps, it erupts with fire all around it.

This stage finishes off in some kind of ruins, where you fight the main boss: Medusa!
This a somewhat complex take on her. She's an armored knight, and you can only damage her by shooting at her body while watching out for how it moves and how she uses her sword.
