Is the new Counselor in Persona 5 Royal, Dr. Maruki, actually any good at counseling? Well Yusuke is adamant about finding out finding that answer. As a Master's level counseling student I wanted to react, analyze, and review his in-game counseling sessions to see if he's any good and how he can improve. While we see Takuto Maruki speak with all of the Phantom Thieves today we will specifically be looking at his session with Joker after the Kamoshida incident in the main story and yes, there will be full 3rd semester spoilers so if you do NOT want to be spoiled, go finish Persona 5 Royal, then come back so we can hear my full thoughts and analysis of Dr. Maruki and Joker's counseling session.

I do want to note that all counselors will come at situations from different theoretical orientations, backgrounds, and belief systems. My opinions correlate with my own education and professional experience up to this point in my education.
