This is the 4th Video of our "Leetcode Easy" Playlist.
In this video we will try to solve an easy simulation problem - Count of Matches in Tournament (Leetcode -1688).

I will explain the intuition so easily that you will never forget and start seeing this as cakewalk EASYYY.
We will do live coding after explanation and see if we are able to pass all the test cases.
Also, please note that my Github solution link below contains both C++ as well as JAVA code.

Approach-1 Summary :
Just simply do the simulation being asked in the problem until you are only left with one team.
If the current number of teams is even, each team gets paired with another team. A total of n / 2 matches are played, and n / 2 teams advance to the next round.
If the current number of teams is odd, one team randomly advances in the tournament, and the rest gets paired. A total of (n - 1) / 2 matches are played, and (n - 1) / 2 + 1 teams advance to the next round.
Approach-2 Summary :
In this tournament, when a team loses, they are eliminated and will no longer play any matches.
There are n teams, and 1 winner. Thus, n - 1 teams will be eliminated.
Each match is played between two teams. One team wins, one team loses. Thus, each match eliminates exactly one team.
As n - 1 teams will be eliminated, there will be n - 1 matches played, with each match eliminating a team.
