Countdown to 2013 - Super Castlevania IV
1With 2012 in its final month, it's time to try something a little different. Every day for the next 30 days, a new video will preview a potential playthrough that could be made in the upcoming year. While I don't do requests, interest in any of these videos may make a full playthrough a reality, and some I plan to do for sure next year.
Today's entry is Super Castlevania IV for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System by Konami.
As its name suggests, Super Castlevania IV is the fourth installment in the Castlevania series and continues with the classic side-scrolling arcade style of earlier games. The player takes on the role of Simon Belmont as he storms Dracula's Castle armed with his trademarked whip. Unlike most Castlevania games, Simon can aim his whip in all directions as well as make use of sub-items to dispose of the undead. This ability also gives him new methods to traverse the worlds such as swinging across chasms using his whip as well.
