Hello everyone and Happy Fall 🍁🍂🎃!
During this time of year--specifically relating to the holiday's, many people feel overwhelmed due to expectations, loneliness and stress which can lead to sadness during the season from Thanksgiving to New Year's.
During this time I experience seasonal sadness and it can often feel overwhelming and draining. It can feel like a slow decline especially when I experience the guilt of not wanting to burden other's which requires me to be alone.
But being alone isn't always the worst. Being alone can be beneficial and allow you to rely on yourself to heal and take care of yourself. One of the ways I take care of myself is to relieve stress and take breaks from situations and tasks that give me discomfort. One of the ways I destress is by gaming, specifically, cozy games. This may sound counterproductive. But gaming does offer life values and can act as a distraction from pain and psychological trauma. While often providing help for those who are dealing with mental disorders.
I have a list of several games I recommend and have helped myself as well as elaborating reasons and theories as to why I believe they are beneficial for your mental health to play. This list is based off my my experience and my personal opinion and why I believe they will have a positive impact on your mental health and help aid in your overall wellness and well-being.
Remember, these games can provide a cozy and relaxing experience, but it's important to also seek professional help if you're dealing with mental health challenges. Take care of yourself, be proud, give yourself credit and enjoy your cozy gaming experience 💛
