The European pre-qualifier #1 for the third Valve-support CS:GO major of 2015, DreamHack Open Cluj-Napoca, will take place from September 4-5 online.
Two teams will emerge from this tournament and receive full travel support to the LAN qualifier at DreamHack Stockholm from September 22-26.
Tournament format:
This pre-qualifier consists of two parts - Open and Closed.
The Open part took place on day one, where over 500 teams fought to reach the Round of 16 in a single elimination best-of-1 bracket which gave them a spot in the Closed section.
Day two will feature 8 invited teams and the top 8 teams from the Open qualifier battling in a single elimination best-of-3 bracket for the 1 LAN qualifier spot.
Teams placed from 3rd-10th in the Closed qualifier will be invited to the closed leg of the 2nd pre-qualifier.
That means that the losers of Round of 16 in the Closed qualifier will play best-of-1 matches to determine the 9th-10th spots.
