CPS2 Dungeons & Dragons: Shadow over Mystara 4 player multiplayer playthrough at ESA Summer 2024
One of the many multiplayer playthroughs I've recorded in the latter half of July 2024.
Unlike most Capcom beat em up playthroughs I've posted so far, I played very little CPS2 Dungeons & Dragons games. This is the superior sequel entry thanks to a bigger moveset, extra classes including Magic User and Thief and a lot of different types of items to collect.
I wasn't fully familar with the mechanics so there are parts where we were wondering around and trying to equip the best items in the game.
I was gifted a Steam copy by Panda after this playthrough and noticed it has some house rules/cheats that modifies the game but it's ported by Iron Galaxy which is different to the Japanese PS3 version which was developed/ported by Capcom as that release has better emulation quality, more QOL extras with the only disadvantage being the roms using the Japanese version (less ideal for 1st time playthrough due to near lack of English text during plot/decision making).
Between July 19th to July 28th, I was at an event in Sweden known as European Speedrunner Assembly Summer 2024, raising money towards Alzheimerfonden (Swedish Alzhimer's Foundation). This was my first on-site event where I didn't participate in a full length run at all other than commentating an extra run and taking part in a Super Mario 64 Relay.
Fortunately, before the event, I purchased a second hand Avermedia Live Gamer Portable II Plus unit for like over 75% off the default price. This allowed me to record content WITHOUT a PC. There were a few caveats such as not truly supporting accurate hz output for arcade cores on the Mister (recorder will not record things below 59.8 FPS) and the recording quality isn't as good as my main capture card that is connected to the PC.
