CPU Ray Tracing Performance Tested At 4K With An RTX 4090
236We all know that Ray Tracing is quite demand on GPUs and heavily taxes performance. However recently released titles such as Spider-man remastered have shown that CPUs can impact ray tracing performance as well. This then prompted me to test various games since I recently upgraded my CPU’s test bench from a Ryzen 7 5800X to an Intel Core i7-13700KF. The 13700KF provided substantially better performance even at 4K from my recent testing. Therefore I wanted to know if we would also perhaps see a positive impact to ray tracing performance from this upgrade at 4K using an RTX 4090 which is currently the faster consumer graphics out in the market.
