Crafting the Dungeon Mine with my son: Minecraft Dungeons Pt 2
My son's mic didn't record in this video. I could hear him, but nothing on the video.
I give this game 6/10. Because there isn't much, if any replay value. Once you rush through the 9 or so levels, which only takes a maximum of 3-5 hours, you have nothing left to do.
You can max your character out at level 50, so the achievement says, or 100 if I believe what someone has told me, but you've already beaten the entire game by level 12. That's one play through, choosing your appropriate level of difficulty as you progress. Really no point to go replay higher difficulties just to grind out that achievement.
I'm not going to argue about it not having mining or crafting, although that's kind of funny. But you would think we could craft weapons. Sadly no, we are left at the mercy of random chance, and as much as I like the glaive, there is really no reason to change weapons other than stats. So daggers, sickles and staves have no use as there are no classes, and we all grab whatever the strongest weapon is we randomly got. Even the rarity doesn't fit Minecraft, as I would assume the ranking would be wood to diamond, but it's not. Instead we have just the diablo-esk common, rare, and unique to base the worthiness of a weapon, which doesn't fit the Minecraft universe.
This game is multiplayer, but it's not a great party game. It's ok at best. I feel it's too short to spend $20 on it. Thankfully it's on game pass.
