Level Notes
Yes I know, this level again. But I didn't want to wait until the end to upload this, and promise it's worth it.
After a small discussion in Tooney's discord server I had a sudden idea pop into my head. In my original run, I claimed that 20 Wumpa was impossible, being the ? Crate and Bounce Crates in the Bonus round, but I got the idea to get a mask and sacrifice it to break the ? Crate. After some testing I got it working and found out I could still get everything else I already could, so I got to work on a new full run. I'm not sure if positioning matters but I could not get this to work consistently, like sometimes it just would not give the Wumpa. Now you could also death abuse near the Bonus on the spike poles to get a pity mask, however since I am going for Perfect Relics too when possible this strat was not available for me.
I am VERY confident that getting any Wumpa from that Bounce Crate is impossible, so now I'm dropping the impossible count on this level to 10.
What is the Max Wumpa Challenge?
Since this game has fixed Wumpa values for each crate, and since the demo originally included Max Wumpa counters for each level, I decided to take on the challenge to try and get every Wumpa in this game.
I'm going to spoil it right now and say it is unfortunately impossible, so the aim will be to get as many as I possibly can. Also because I'm insane, I am going for Perfect Relics and timing how fast I do it, however speedrunning is not the main focus. As I make it to later levels expect runs to become more casual in nature as I don't want to go too crazy lol.
If you know something I have missed and I have not noted it down, please let me know!
Thanks to ADMGHX for looking into the game files for me to find the 40%/60%/80%/100% Wumpa values so I can check that my own findings are correct! In some cases I still found a couple discrepancies but I will go into detail for the relevant levels.
