Crash Bandicoot 1 (N-Sane Trilogy) - Boss 1: Papu Papu (+ Unlocking Coco)
The very first boss of the franchise returns, with his mask, big belly, and even his butt crack brought into full HD!
Anyone that has played the PS1 Crash 1 may realize that Papu Papu has 5 HP instead of 3 HP. This isn't too unorthodox of a change, because he actually had that much health in the Japanese version of the original Crash 1.
Even then, he's was, and still is an easy boss to beat. In fact, he may be easier here even with the bigger health bar, because he doesn't seem to turn invincible while twirling his stick around, this time.
Unfortunately, for some reason, after beating a boss in N-Sane Trilogy, specifically in Crash 1, Crash doesn't leap into the air to say "YEE-HAW" like he does in the original. Though this time, after beating Papu Papu, he uses his belly like a trampoline to jump out of his hut.
If you want to see how this fight went down in the PS1 version, check out my video of that in the link, below:

ALSO! As you should know at this point, Crash's little sister, Coco, is now playable in every game in this trilogy. So how do you unlock her?
Just simply kick Papu's fat ass! Then check the map for a Time Machine near his spot. Coco will appear from it, as she went back in time from the story and setting of Crash Bandicoot: Warped. Why? To lend her big brother a helping hand on his previous two adventures before that game.
So... to actually use the bandicoot girl from there, just hit the R2 button on the map screen to switch between her and Crash. They play exactly alike this time, though Coco comes with her own cosmetic quirks that Crash doesn't have (idle animations, death variations, etc).
It all really comes down to preference, and if you want, you can send Coco back to her Time Machine. For the rest of this playthrough I will be using both Crash and Coco from time to time, though there are still come levels that only Crash is allowed to be in, such as all of the bosses, like the one I just beat, here!
Note that this is one of the only times in history that Coco and Tawna can be seen on the same screen! Sony wanted Naughty Dog to replace Tawna because they wanted a stronger role model than Tawna's "damsel-in-distress"-ness.
