PLATINUM TIME TRIAL RELICS INFO:
- First, you must beat the level. Then on replay, it will have a golden stopwatch at the start that triggers the time trial. The goal is to speedrun the level as fast as possible. Based on your performance you get a relic (Sapphire, Gold, Platinum, Purple). Platinum is the 2nd highest.
- There are 38 Platinum Relics in total. You need them for the Faster Than Sound trophy/achievement. Purple Relics (the highest tier) automatically count as Platinum.
- The most important move is Slide-Attack. This makes you go much faster. After the story, you also unlock Triple Spin which gives you a speed boost but it's less user-friendly than Slide-Attack. Try both to see what gives you better results at a given level.
- Destroy the Time Crates along the way, they stop the timer.
- Go for Triple-Masks (3 mask pickups), this makes you invincible so you can run straight through Nitro/TNT crates, traps, and enemies.
- There are no checkpoints in Time Trials. If you die you will respawn at the beginning.
