Crash Bandicoot: Wrath of Cortex Part 2: They See Me Rollin’
So, after watching the rather long cut-scene that explained the entire premise of the game, we now get to barrel through the first couple of levels in the game. As you’ll quickly see, there are a lot of variety when it comes to the levels (first level is a “regular” mission, followed by a flying mission then we are stuck in a ball in third) but they never seem connected. Each of the stages are based off of the Elementals, a group of dangerous masks that have been released onto the world once more, but outside of that, the actual levels have very little connection to each other or even the mask for the stage. They are so different from one another that they don’t feel like they should be in the same stage (ice and flying levels for the earth mask’s stage?). The levels themselves are very fun and enjoyable to playthrough but they do feel like individual levels rather than being part of a stage; I wonder if they did that to prevent people from being annoyed at any one stage (I would probably get very annoyed doing several ice levels in a row).
