So, after barely making it past English 1 (we still have four more English classes to go; God save me) and acquiring our new Slingshot from that a-hole (Davis), Gary tells us to try it out on some windows of a broken school bus. It’s basically just a tutorial on how to fire projectiles in the game which is pretty easy since it has an auto-lock feature. It also introduces a zoom feature but the turn rate/sensitivity is so slow on it that I doubt I’ll be using that outside of missions/very specific things in the world that need that aim. Most of the controls in the game feel alright (nothing too crazy like SIXAXIS stuff) but I will mention that the camera gets a little crazy from time to time. Regardless of that, I should mention that we also get to meet another new character who is going to help us grow a little. Gary, for whatever reason, feels like we should pick on a homeless person living near the broken-down school bus but, when we get there, we find that he’s actually rather interesting. He gives us a deal that if we find transistors to him, he’ll show us some really cool fighting moves that he learned during the war. Now, this game seems to have quite a few different collectables in the game (Grottos and Gremlin cards, Rubber Bands etc.) and, just like every game that I play, I can’t guarantee that I’ll collect them all but I feel like I’m making some decent progress towards so maybe I will. Not sure what they’ll give me if I collect all the things (well, except for the Transistors that is) but I will definitely keep my eye out for as many as I can collect. I will also have to mention that this game does crash on three or four times during the recording session (Not sure why exactly since it seems to be running fine and then just crashes for little reason) so I apologize in advance when it happens (like at the end of this video).
