7The time limit keeps getting stricter as I go through each Gem Challenge of a Polar Push stage.
This time, I only have 25 seconds to defeat everyone else!

For the Crystal Challenge of Melt Panic specifically, you lose the ability to save yourself from slipping off the edge of the ice ring. This means as soon as you get there, regardless of how fast or slow you go, you'll instantly fall and can't mash Square Button to recover.
A very nice handicap to put on you in a stage where Uka Uka is continuously making the whole ring smaller. Like with all other Crystal handicaps, this does not apply to your opponents.
