When you want to create a RAID of the operating system disk, keep this in Mind:

1. Connect the second disk after you installed windows or the 100 MB boot partition will land on the second disk.
2. The secondary disk needs to be at least the size of the windows partition. (It can be bigger)
3. Every Computer can boot from dynamic disks but not every OS understands them.
4. You cannot mirror the 100 MB boot partition.
5. if you order two disks at the same time, they usually have adjacent serial numbers. If one disk has a production error, it is likely for the second to have an error too.
6. Make note on what is the first and what is the second disk if you ever need to replace one.
7. Only the mirror raid creates redundancy, the striped raid just increases your partition size.
8. This works with SSD as well.
9. This works on existing windows installations. no need to reinstall.
10. You can also mirror additional partitions with additional disks.
12. Dragons are awesome
13. Number 4 is missing
14. You just checked and were annoyed that is is there.
15. But number 11 is missing.
