This time we tackle a viewer request from a player that feels like their DM isn't making the game tough enough. They are playing 5th edition dungeons and dragons and it feels like a video game in god mode. So Nerdarchy makes some 5e D&D specific suggestions for ratcheting up the dangers while adventuring. 5th edition offers a different sort of challenge to game masters. I believe as gm you need make the individual combats more dangerous to 1 make your players feel like they are in danger and 2 force their characters to expend more resources. We give some examples of how to create more threatening encounters as well as make an adventurer's career seem more hazardous.
