Minor Magic-Items to Make Your D&D Game More Enchanting| Game Master Tips
Minor magic-items are a great way to spice your campaign setting. The don't affect the balance yet they add to the flavor and story in your game. Players seem to love these far more than more powerful and traditional magic items for some reason. I dwarven warrior that suddenly finds a tankard that never runs out of ale or a halfling that is gifted a box that plays music when you open the lid are examples of game enhancing items that offer very little benefit in game. Some of the trinkets in the PHB are great minor magic items as well. When your players come across that bauble while on an adventure they are going to want to know why, where, when, how, and who. As when the y get that magic sword they are just going to want to hit an orc with it.
