Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII Reunion - Full MINERVA Super Boss Fight! (M9-6-6: The Reigning Deity)
So just like with FF7 Remakes super boss Weiss I am also uploading my completion of the Crisis Core remake/remasters super boss Minerva, on Normal Mode of course as Hard Mode adds more than 7x the amount of health you see in this version of the fight, and I didn't want to be punching her to death for over an hour just to get the same rewards as Normal haha.
Minerva's boss fight is unlocked after completing every other mission in the Great Cavern of Wonders side quest line, just beat them all in order through M9 and you'll only be left with this mission here, The Reigning Deity. Defeating Minerva and completing the mission will unlock the Divine Slayer accessory which when equipped will boost all stats by 50, uncaps the usual damage limit and instead caps it at 99,999 damage and will then also unlock your HP, MP and AP limits while granting permanent Libra, it's not an amazing item honestly compared to some of the Genji equipment but is definitely really good regardless! You will need to beat this mission anyway for the achievement for defeating Minerva and also the 100% missions achievement.
Anyway this super boss is quite a bit easier than most of the franchises entries thanks to how insanely broken OP Zack can get at this stage in the game (I am in NG+ and have "endgame" gear but really anyone can do it early if they grind for enough stats), the build I'm running in this fight is made to hopefully spam Healing Wave which is Aerith's Limit Break, essentially the main use for it is invincibility which will ultimately let me hug Minerva without the risk of excess damage so I can Costly Punch her to my hearts content without randomly dying in the process, simple and broken strategy honestly then with infinite MP I can spam heal and with a good amount of Phoenix Downs I can keep reviving if something goes wrong!
All you really need for this in terms of Materia is the Healing Wave boost, Costly Punch for damage, Curaga for heals and Dualcast for double the heals at once. Everything else was there just to boost stats, and SP Turbo being a nice damage boost for the Limit Breaks and Summons I can get randomly throughout the fight as that Materia will boost their damage as well as my own.
Here's just some quick timestamps;
Build - 0:00
Minerva Fight - 0:41
Aerith Healing Wave spam strategy actually working - 4:42
Minerva Fight - 6:10
Fight Ending & Reward - 14:35
Divine Slayer Item - 15:10
Well with that I hope you enjoy this punch fest of a fight, I know it's pretty lengthy but most super bosses in Final Fantasy games are, so sit back and watch me beat this God to death!
As always fellers, thanks for watching!
