Stranger of Paradise: Wanderer of the Rift - OP Summoner Build to SWEEP Gilgamesh Difficulty With
Updated and DLC 3 ready version of the build here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcHyG9R0DdA
Here's a look at the strongest Summoner setup you can make in Stranger of Paradise, this build will utilise a number of Job Affinities and their Skills, Command Abilities, Lightbringer, the Summoner job (obviously) and also some bonus abilities new to the Wanderer of the Rift DLC to more or less make you completely invincible, gain infinite MP through not only chain cancelling but just your abilities in general and allow you to pump out stupid amounts of damage, with you dealing up and around 30K+ DPS if played right.

The main things you'll need for this build is a full setup of gear all with the Strength boost, the Lightbringer Duration boost/Damage Increased while Lightbringer is Active and the Near Death damage boost, as well as these things you'll also need to fill in those bonus slots with stuff that decrease the MP cost of command abilities or perks that boost their effectiveness or buff duration.
Next you'll want these specific job affinities to go with that;
Dark Knight - 400%
Breaker - 400%
Dragoon - 400%
Knight - 400%
Summoner - 250%
Samurai - 120%
Berserker - 120%
On top of these job affinities though you will need three main Command Abilities or all else the build will probably fall apart and just straight up fail, these are; Lunatic, Lancet and Mighty Strikes.
- Lunatic increases attack speed (also stacks with Dragoon's 400% ability).
- Lancet grants HP and MP each time you damage an enemy with something they're weak to, this can be very easy to abuse thanks to the Odin Blessing but a number of things present will make enemies weak to our attacks, making this a helpful boon.
- Mighty Strikes increases attack damage and also helps cut through enemies defences easily, it's actually pretty damn powerful for a Bahamut setup like this (hopefully they don't nerf it).
As well as these above there's also a new mechanic in the DLC, Blessings. These are basically bonus buffs obtained only through the new rarity of Artifact gear which can be found in the Rift Labyrinth, these have each Summons powers and can be used to gain some pretty cool effects. The one I recommend in the video is Odin's but I actually think Leviathan's is the way to go as it grants more MP and Max MP which helps this build far more.

There is a specific technique you will have to utilise to use the build in most regular content/content outside of the Rift Labyrinth, or just to set up Bahamut in general if you want to. The technique is called chain cancelling, to do this you want to have a second job that can use a chainable ability and then run Evoker 400% and Summoner 120%. All you need to do is cast an ability that's free and then immediately switch to Summoner and back onto your alt job, which in my case is White Mage, this should result in a big max MP boost, then the Evoker ability will passively regen your MP to fill the bars you've now gained from the chain cancel.

Well there we go! Hopefully you enjoy this build and of course let me know what you think of it, this'll be a perfect setup to abuse in any and all content the game has to offer and hopefully for the next DLC as well, and maybe then it'll get even more powerful, if so I'll be sure to cover it again and update it when the DLC drops and I've grinded out better/newer gear mainly in case there's new mechanics to it all like the blessings!
As always fellers, thanks for watching!
