The first of Critical Role's new RPGs has released its Quickstart guide! But something about it feels...familiar. Let's take a look at Candela Obscura, using Critical Role's new "original" TTPRG system Illuminated Worlds!

While a good game, the strengths come from its source material, rather than new additions. As such, it ends up a derivative game that fails to improve on it's source material.
