- The Game
An action-packed adventure set in the spooky kingdom of Gallowmere, #MediEvil is one of those #PlayStation classics that has quietly endured over the decades.
The development all the way back in 1995 under the working title of βDead Man Danβ, at Cambridge-based developer called Millennium Interactive. The full original game then released in 1998.
Riding the growing tide of 3D development, the fledgeling team set their bar high, hoping to deliver on ambitious goals with a shoe-string budget, but found themselves beset with plenty of obstacles along the way.
- Release
24 September 2019 PlayStation State of Play, a demo of MediEvil, known as MediEvil: Short-Lived Demo, was announced to be available until 6 October 2019.
The Remake was first announced as a remaster in 2017 PlayStation Experience. Then fully revealed on 31 October 2018 confirmed to be a full #remake, rather than a remaster as was previously announced. 9 May 2019 State of Play, the digital-only "Digital Deluxe Edition" version was revealed, which includes the Super Armor from MediEvil 2, a theme based on the game for the PS4 user interface, a digital artbook, a digital graphic novel prequel known as MediEvil: Fate's Arrow, and a digital music player featuring the game's soundtrack.
In Japan release

In the year 1286 of MediEvil, the Dark Sorcerer Zarok displeased the citizen of Gallowmere living in peace. He plotted to rule the kingdom of Gallowmere with his undead army.
Sir #Daniel #Fortesque a charlatan knight, led an army and managed to defeat Zarok, forcing him into hiding. However Daniel Fortesque has fallen by the first volley of arrows during the battle, the king of Gallowmere chose to cover it up and declare Dan the "Hero of Gallowmere".
A century later 1386, Zarok reappears and casts a spell over Gallowmere to awaken his undead army along steal souls of the living, also unaware he revives Dan, who become a skeletal corpse, missing jaw and his eye during in the battle of Gallowmere against Dark Sorcerer, using opportunity of his revival to defeat Zarok and save Gallowmere, alone. And receive the true title "Hero of Gallowmere".
