This is the final section of my Stellaris Stream from midnight, May 5, 2016. The embargo was lifted. I had had some opportunity to learn the game off camera, and so far in this stream there were some things I showed that I knew how to do and some things to improve upon. I will leave my review impressions for a later video, but I did elect to, in my next streaming session, take the game not only in a very different direction, but at a substantially higher difficulty.

The pre-release version was provided to me by Paradox Interactive after I contacted them directly (and after I had pre-ordered the game myself).

What is Stellaris: a grand strategy game with 4x elements set in Space developed by Paradox Development Studio and Paradox Interactive. Set for the stars with your newly minted FTL drive and explore a very crowded galaxy. The game truly starts to shine once borders are established and intrigue between space empires begins. Playing a lot more like Europa Universalis IV, you are tasked with managing your empire, maintaining the happiness of diverse populations over your may different planets, researching key technologies along the way, and not pissing off various fallen empires and succumbing to inevitable space disasters. Because the galaxy is dangerous. And not just because of friendship.
