This video is going to take you through earning the Frankokratia achievement on Steam and Windows 10. The achievement is unlocked for 15 gamerscore (Windows 10) - "As a French Catholic, hold the Kingdom of Thessalonika without being vassalized to Byzantium.

The video will walk you through the approach that is detailed on Trueachievements by Silent Chaos09. I took his guide that was written on April 15th 2021 and some of the tips from the comments to create a video to show you exactly how I did ita

Main strategy is using Count Haestinn of Montaigu in 867 as he has special units to first take the independent county of Napoli and then using Allies, Mercenaries, and a bit of luck to take the Kingdom of Thessalonika from the Byzantine Empire. After that it is just making sure you are French and not Orthodox. Even though the achievement says Catholic the achievement popped for me once I controlled all counties inside of the Kingdom of Thessalonika and was Astru. So it is a little buggy, but you converting religion and culture from Haesteinn's starting position is fairly easy.
