Crusader Kings II Playthrough (No Commentary) - Saxons Part 4 Selling prisoners and gaining power
0Part 4 of my Crusader Kings II - Saxon playthrough. If you know how I play Warband, then you know how I'll play CKII. Modded. Except for the part where I couldn't mod any characters or items like with Warband. In Warband I would've gotten away with it and would still be able to get achievements. In CKII not so much. So, not wanting to cheat on screen, I decided to use cheatengine instead. Am I cheating? Yes and no.
Again, if you know my playing style in Warband, you know that I won't let anything stand in my way in order to carve out an Empire. All who oppose me are killed. Them and their families.
In the previous part, I...managed to die and have my son take over. I am not entirely sure what else I did.
In this part (and starting with this part) I will set certain goals for each and every playthrough. This playthrough (the Saxon ENTIRE playthrough) will get a series of goals set for it. When I finally achieve all of said goals, I will probably end the playthrough and start on a new one. That is, when I'm done with all set goals for the Saxon playthrough, I'll start with another playthrough, another realm, another character, another starting point. So, on to the goals:
Become independent: CHECK.
Become king: CHECK
Become Emperor: CHECK
Become absolute ruler/monarch of my realm, with no power for the council: CHECK
Change laws, so noone else declares war: CHECK
Conquer Brittany: CHECK
Conquer Normandy:
Conquer Maine/Anjou: CHECK
Conquer Malta: CHECK
And add in Sicily as well: CHECK
And Southern Italy:
Conquer some of the minor Islands around Britain: CHECK. Ireland counts.
And some parts of England just for the hell of it: got southern England. So, CHECK!
Conquer more Mediterranean islands:
The only mods used are "Anime Portaits" because I found it rather hard for the characters I played to find a cute wife, "Conquest" because conquering shit 24/7 is how I roll and "Kings of Slavery and Vices" is this adult mod that adds a whole lot more....adult content to the game. And it would make taking prisoners a whole lot more interesting. If you know where I'm going with this....
If you don't know where I'm going with this: armies often weren't paid regularly or didn't have any base pay. Which meant that soldiers or the men generally serving in armies were allowed to loot and plunder whenever an enemy city fell. Another thing that would happen if a city were to fall was that the soldiers would rape the entire female population of said city. Maybe not the entire female population, but most of them. And to the soldiers, this was some sort of pay. Especially after serving weeks, if not months without any female companionship. And seeing how in this playthrough I'll be playing as the old Saxons, cousins of the Norse vikings, it would make sense. I mean, what do you think the vikings did after killing every man in their path and stealing everything they could steal? I mean, they sure as shit stole some pretty girls here and there as well, didn't they?
Another mod is "Underhanded Tactics" which also adds adult content, but minus the artworks. It does add the jus primae noctis or the right to the first night. Which every nobleman "supposedly" was entitled to.
I changed a few stats in both the "Underhanded Tactics" and "Kings of Slavery and Vices" mods a bit to....try and make everything a little bit more realistic. So now every female prisoner is able to become a target of the abovementioned *ahem* forced relations. And this time they won't be able to cut my character's dick off. Because that happened. My character's a eunuch.
And I've added a few more mods "Take more prisoners" and one that would allow me to trade more and make more money ingame and another mod that adds a ton of more buildings called "Peachy's Building Mod".
Update: I've disabled the "Kings of Slavery and Vices" mod. Because my new character's no longer a eunuch. We no longer need the mod to ensure the survival of the family. "Underhanded Tactics" is still enabled, but it doesn't exactly show any sort of adult content.
