'L The Medium' refers to a map that is part of a larger story, literally called The Story of L which, according to the mapper, is based of the game Cytus (a rythm-based game). The Story of L originally is composed of about 10 chapters with each their own story. The 'Lower' series map features the first three arcs, the 'Medium' map features the 4 other arcs. In-game I can tell it tries to follow a story, but since I don't know the original game nor anything about the storyline it might as well be non-existent. I suggest you look up the Cytus wiki to gain more knowledge about the lore and the story.

Overall the design of the map is relatively simplistic and blocky, but most of all extremely large. A lot of the rooms feel large for little to no gain as there's barely cover. The choke points themselves are just waiting somewhere and hoping zombies can close in. The ending was definitly the best part of the map as it concentrates the action on a smaller environment, but that's about it. There are also laser parts, so be wary if you are lagging (you can easily time the jumps well in advance though).

I should get to play more of the other acts to get a better understanding and view of the whole map, but as far as I can tell the map could use a good bit of improvement and should simply be shorter as well, both in size as well as in length.
