Linux Gaming | CSGO2 Performance - DEB vs Flatpak vs Snap

NOTES: The lag you perceive during the video is not because of bad encoding, but because the game was actually LAGGING. The constant stuttering you see during gameplay here is what I actually experienced while playing and it is unrelated to the recording in process, nor the shader compilation which was done before starting the ingame map. You are actually SEEING the stuttering I am referring to on the Bug report at:

https://github.com/ValveSoftware/csgo-osx-linux/issues/3642

The tests cover the following Debian Packages:

DEBIAN Based - https://store.steampowered.com/about

Flatpak Based - https://flathub.org/apps/com.valvesoftware.Steam

Snap Based - Literally type "snap install steam" on Ubuntu

This video is, hopefully, to help the developers address the issue that I am pretty sure is affecting many, on both, Linux and Windows.
