Kernel Parameters (As of this video) + Comments from my Research:
cat /proc/cpuinfo
Edit /etc/default/grub and replace the line that starts with GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT with the parameters mentioned in the video (You decide which ones), then save. Run sudo update-grub and reboot.
I also forgot to mention this, so if you are reading the description, kudos for you to stick around.
I did the following additional to the video:
sudo nano /etc/sysctl.conf
Then on the last lines I added the following:
kernel.dmesg_restrict=0
fs.file-max = 67108864
fs.nr_open = 20132659
vm.max_map_count = 2097152
This is based on my RAM size too, just in case I have 128GB of RAM. So adjust to your RAM size accordingly. After that reboot.
