Classic Sonic and Modern Sonic team-up in Sonic Generations developed by Sega for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in hopes of conquering an unknown evil that is traveling through time and space. If that storyline sounds ridiculous, it's because it is, but the game still does not fail to provide high-speed and extremely fun action that made the Sonic series so successful in the first place. Although it does have its shortcomings, it ultimately succeeds at being a great hybrid between the Sonic of old and the horribly-voiced Sonic of new.

Also a 3DS version of this game was released, but contained different levels from different Sonic games. This review does not particularly apply to the 3DS version.
