Alright! What a catch! It's been so long since I've last seen a normal CSX C40-8W (ones that do not have any Conrail history) leading! I finally got another anti-RF&P lashup! It was nice to see the Dash 8 leading this train. It had a beautiful K5LA as well. It gave a toot as it came into sight. I don't know why it stopped after that toot. I know later, it blew its horn twice, signalling that they were ready to proceed, which I caught those toots on camera. I liked watching these amazing grain hoppers go by. I even noticed that there was an AC6000CW trailing on the back! There is the right position for the cab signaled engines! The GEVO is right behind the C40-8W facing the grain cars, while the AC6000CW is lonely as a backwards facing DPU! Next time I see a normal CSX C40-8W leader, I just hope it's in the 7600s or 7800s. I also hope that the last digit won't be a 6 or an 8. My other Dash 8 leaders were #7908 in Indianapolis, #7916 in Richmond, #7766 in Homestead, and #7778 here. This was the last train of the day. But I saw this train again on the Bellwood Sub while driving home on I-95, so they were probably taking the train to Acca Yard to be turned around. There, they might take the North End Sub to go south. Enjoy!
