It began raining later, so I had to film under shelter in the Visitor's Center. This train approached as I was eating dinner: wings, fries, and a Pepsi. Q439 seemed late, because I always expect it to show up between 11 AM and 4 PM. I didn't catch the symbol at first, but then I figured it was Q439 after seeing the Maryland Midland hopper cars. It had 4 engines for power, 2 GEs and 2 EMDs. The engineer gave me a friendly wave as he passed by. I waved to him first and he responded. I suppose he was pleased that the less reliable engines were the ones trailing in the back. Interestingly, there were a few empty intermodal cars on this train. Enjoy!
