PLEASE WATCH THE ENTIRE VIDEO BEFORE COMMENTING! I normally don't ask this of people watching my videos, but it's really important this time around!

I've spoken before about Cube World a few years back, but what's happened with the game since really demands that I speak up about the whole situation, because NO indie developer working on a passion project for over 10 years and actually delivering content deserves the kind of seething hate on display here. Thus for this video I've decided to showcase and explain the changes Cube World has gone through, explain the ridiculousness of the social situation, and then finish with some insights into the one piece of info the game's author, Wollay, has shared in the past few months in terms of the future of this game.

Additional Information and Corrections:

* If you want to check out the game for yourself, here's a link to its Steam store page! https://store.steampowered.com/app/1128000/Cube_World/

* Now that the video's been up for a little I do want to make something clear which doesn't come across well in the video: I'm not against CRITICISM. If you're someone who doesn't like where this game's ended up since alpha, then fine, critique the game. There's nothing wrong with that and I don't have a problem with it. BUT, calling the game a "scam" means you're claiming that the game's purpose is to steal your money and that its author is no better than those people who eMail out millions of spam messages. THAT is crossing the line and that's the behaviour I mostly wanted to call out.

* One thing I neglected to bring up which is actually easily forgotten since Cube World is the main focus of Wollay's efforts is that he ALSO made the game engine, the voxel editing software he uses for the assets in the game, as well as the GRAPHICS EDITING SOFTWARE (dubbed "Plasma") used to make all the 2D assets! This game's creation is almost as close to "from scratch" as possible! This is also partly why development may seem so slow at times, since he's making more than just Cube World.

* If you're someone who got their money's worth out of the alpha but you didn't like the initial Steam release and downvoted it, the PROPER thing to have done instead would have been to voice your concerns politely and then NOT leave a review of the game, since you should already be aware by now that Wollay is very quiet and rarely speaks about his progress, but has been very committed to trying to make this thing ever since he conceived it over a decade ago.

* One thing I should clarify for those of you who want to play this multiplayer with friends: The eagle flights cost money normally, but they're free when you want to link up with a friend who's undoubtedly spawned VERY far away elsewhere in the world.

* Here's a tip for finding more + equipment: When you're ready to leave a region, check all of the stores, stay at an inn to refresh the inventories, then check again. Also remember to check your crafting list in case you can make a + item and search caves for any gems you need to do so or buy those gems from Gem Traders found out and about throughout every region! Also don't forget that some of the event locations, like tournaments and battles, are repeatable once per in-game day.

* The recent reviews on Steam were still "Mixed" when I started my prep work for this video. Between then and grabbing a screenshot of the game's store page on Steam the recent reviews went down to "Mostly Negative" :(
