Just like the Cagney Carnation boss fight, I put the difficulty on regular on the Hilda Berg boss fight for 2 reasons:
1. To see how much easier regular difficulty is.
2. To get an A rank on the boss for the Sheriff trophy🏆(Obtain an A-rank or higher on all bosses in Inkwell Isle One).
If you watched the video, I literally beat the Hilda Berg boss fight on my first attempt, I knew there would be a difference between expert difficulty and regular difficulty but not like this.
Afterward, I made my way Goopy Le Grande boss fight and from there, to the Ribby and Croaks boss fight and I must say, I'm quite impressed with expert difficulty so far.
In most modern games, when you play at the hardest difficulty, normally the enemy does way more damage, you do less, more things (of the same thing) are on screen at one time, nothing really truly changes however on Cuphead's expert difficulty, entire sequences get changed rather than the enemy simply doing more damage.
Expert difficulty is a harder difficulty by design, having both of the frogs attack you at the same time isn't present in the regular difficulty and this different design is also present in the final phase where the coins are moving at a faster rate. I can see expert difficulty becoming very challenging, very quickly.
With this, I have beaten all Isle one bosses and gotten an A rank earning me the trophy. Next video, I'll be moving to Isle two.
