We manage to find the Gatorman Fortress. There we find Charles, imprisoned. Before rescuing him we must first find the key... which apparently is also the cursed artifact itself.

Once you arrive, you can either fight or sneak past the gators (6 Moxie needed). You can enter the house through the hole on the right, with a 7 Stench Armor check.
Once inside (if entering through the front door), head to the first room you see. You can fish in the barrel if you want. Check the wall and pick up the a length of rusty chain.
Now head to the left, defeat the gators and you'll see Charles. You will need a key to free him. Enter the room behind him to reach the kitchen.
In the kitchen, check the refrigerator to the left to obtain the refrigerator on a chain. It's a furniture for your room.

Head back outside then this time head all the way to the right. Fight the gators and enter the room. You'll see the Gator King jump down the hole. Before you follow him, check the bookshelf to obtain a skill book. Head to the very left and flush the toilet for some XP and fish in it as well. Now go to the hole and hang the chain you found on the wall earlier. Take it going down.
Follow the gator. Touch the pedestal to activate the warp to go further down.
Follow the gator again and try to fix the broken thing (6 Mysticality). Use the device (let it shock you) and you will obtain a new perk, Ziggurat Power. This will come in handy for harder fights as it lets you use 3 additional combat items per round. After getting the perk, continue onward. Touch the pedestal again and take the warp.
In the next area, either avoid the beams or destroy the guardian. It has 95 hp so it will be a relatively hard battle.
After you get past it, see what happens to the gator king. Fish the puddle then search it to obtain the cursed key. Once you obtain the key, you'll be transported back to the gator house. Head to the left and free Charles. You'll obtain 45 XP. You'll be transported back to the Antique Shop and Jessica will speak with you. You're now free to either do side quests or sleep to move on to the next chapter.
