8I don't want to say that this group of heroes failed, but they are failures. Darkest Dungeon 2 promises to be just as punishing as DD1 but in truth it's much more of a Rogue-LIKE experience so far than a Rogue-light one. If something goes wrong early, there's no washing your hands of it. Things will just spiral down and down and down. I wonder if it will get any better as I unlock more characters. If only I could unlock more characters.
Darkest Dungeon 2 is the long awaited followed up to one of the greatest games ever made and a game I put a lot of time into previously on the channel. And yet Red Hook has elected to be bold and not just take the same formula and slap a 2 on it. Instead, your heroes must now escape from the estate with the last spark of hope and traverse the fallen world in search of -- something? A solution. A goal? A wisp of a dream. For now, the only way out is through, and the path is riddled with dangers and terrors.
