13The goal this run was to get more mastery points in order to try and get more skilled fighters. And to be honest, it's a solid plan if everyone can live. But the joy of taking so many fights so close in succession is that you have to try and dodge Deaths' Door and RNG and all that other good stuff. This video ends up being another example of how DD2 is fundamentally different from the first. In the original Darkest Dungeon, failure just means an opportunity to retool. Here, failure means failure. I'm going to play it out because that's what I do, but I hope Red Hook reconsiders how this whole thing plays out.
Darkest Dungeon 2 is the long awaited followed up to one of the greatest games ever made and a game I put a lot of time into previously on the channel. And yet Red Hook has elected to be bold and not just take the same formula and slap a 2 on it. Instead, your heroes must now escape from the estate with the last spark of hope and traverse the fallen world in search of -- something? A solution. A goal? A wisp of a dream. For now, the only way out is through, and the path is riddled with dangers and terrors.
