In Odoo, the custom addons path refers to the directory where you store your custom modules, separate from Odoo’s core modules. Step-by-Step Guide

1. Create a Custom Addons Directory

You need a separate directory where you will store your custom Odoo modules.

2. Modify Odoo Configuration File


You must inform Odoo where to find your custom addons.

3. Restart Odoo Service


Apply the changes by restarting Odoo

4. Verify the Custom Addons Path

Open Odoo and log in.

Go to Apps → Update Apps List.

Click Update and check if your custom modules appear.


Now, Odoo will recognize your custom modules from the new addons path!
