While the Silent Hill campaign was the first I ever played... This campaign back in L4D1 is what introduced to the custom map in the first place... I love this map... and owe the maker so much for it's creation...
Pros
+ Great Layout
+ Unique areas
+ Great Music
+ Great Aesthetics
+ Still one of the best Finales ever
Cons
- The city portion is a tad boring compared to the rest of the chapters
- Fading ragdolls on the ship (not a con in my book, but it is for most people...)
Final Verdict
98/100
I want to give it a perfect score, but it just doesn't push the boundary of incredible... It is Valve quality... and I keep perfect scores for when it surpasses Valve quality... But this campaign shall always remain a favorite of mine till the day I stop playing this game (which I don't see happening in any foreseeable future...)
This one has truly survived the test of time... and great map back in L4D1... and still a great map in L4D2... The design in well made in both looks and gameplay... there are a few things I might have done differently, but that is just my opinion...
As for the disappearing corpses on the ship... I know exactly why that is happening... same technique I used to have the infected vanish in the Haunting Grounds... I guess I did it for optimization purposes... really the only other use for it...
