Map Descriptions
Contact
“Hold out and wait for rescue on an asteroid mining colony”
Dying of the Light
“Survivors must fight for their lives through an abandoned warehouse complex. Fight off the horde and uncover the frightening history of your soon-to-be grave! “
End of the Road
“End of the Road is a survival map set on a dead end street in a small town. “
Rev's Hell
“Our survivors entered what they believe is "hell" (but is actually another dimension called Odon). When a soul transfers( ex. someone who dies), a small distorting wave goes trough the real world and the hell dimension.

Sacrifice the unconcious person, lying in the hell holdout to generate a wave that shakes awake the underworld god, and he will let loose thousands of him minions to stop you from doing anything in his realm.

Can you kill as many zombies as possible to make a dimensional rift so you can get back to the real world? Go ahead and try! “
Downfall
“Downfall is a survival map with many possible holdout locations.

Players can go inside buildings around the map to find more items, and defend themselves in fewer different directions. Most buildings have a second floor and an exterior space to navigate (balconies, bridges), where players can get a better visibility, but risk getting caught by long-ranged ennemies.

Most doors in the map can be destroyed by the zombies, but closing them can buy the survivors some time!

The map contains worker zombies, who are not attracted by pipe bombs.

Not all kind of weapons in the game can spawn in the map at the same time, which means that players have to play with what they are given. This is an essential aspect of survival games! “

Contact
+Absolutely stunning visuals...
+Beautiful and well made custom content...
-Lots of Navigational issues...
-Little path variation for either team...
-Does not “play” well...

Final Verdict
Neutral

Contact is exactly what I mean when visuals don't mean everything...
It might be one the best looking areas ever made... but ALL of the work was put into how it looks, and not how it plays... and as a result... the navigation is half-assed, and it is actually quite boring to play...

Gameplay is ALWAYS the priority... always...

- - -

Dying of the Light (kept referring to it as “Dyling Light”... my bad...)
+Has a story, a goal, and an ending...
+Giant arena with supplies and places to hold around every corner...
+Traps and Progression...
+Visually appealing...
+Well constructed arena
-A few navigational issues...

Final Verdict
Highly Recommended

Dying of the Light is one of the few survival maps with an ending... and as does it right...
The goal is simple enough to figure out, but challenging enough to provide some difficulty... The arena itself had a lot of thought put into it... which is something I am always fond of...

Having a literal ending to survival can be a bit “buggy”... but I can understand why he did what he did...

- - -

End of the Road
+Well constructed arena...
+Plenty of supplies...
+Good visuals...

Final Verdict
Recommended

End of the Road is a standard map... While it is well made and does play quite nicely... I'm afraid there isn't much there to make it stand out among the rest... Doesn't mean it is bad however... It is still a generally fun map...

- - -

Rev's Hell
+Interesting Concept...
+Great visuals for the theme...
/ While the start is creative, the length can get tedious if you replay several times...
-Arena itself is rather dull...

Final Verdict
Recommended

Yet another of these maps from Rev... Featuring an “infected from one direction” and a bowl to fight in... just like his other maps... If you have liked any of his other maps that are similar to this... this it is more of the same...

- - -

Downfall
+Plenty of supplies...
/ Cramped nature of map can be a god send and a death trap...
-Arena more favors infected pay...
+Doesn’t look half bad...
-A few navigational issues...

Final Verdict
Neutral

Downfall is another standard map... but unlike End of the Road... doesn't have the kind of pros...
When you play... some things are very apparent... and one of them is that the infected almost always that the advantage... in every scenario... Survivors have very few places they can hold that won't become a deathtrap in a matter of seconds...
