Custom PETS in Simitone? - The Sims 3D - SIMITONE using Custom Characters
I've attempted to add custom cats and dogs to Simitone, the new fan-made 3D Engine for The Sims based on The Sims Online - which enables the player to start The Sims in full 3D graphics.
The Pokémon replacements for cats and dogs - Pikachu/Umbreon (cats) and Ninetails (dog) worked fine in The Sims with all their textures showing but in Simitone it would seem that the game has a hard time applying the texture for the pet to both the head and the body. The props always get their texture in by default, but as the head and the body are two different models the Simitone engine only seems to apply the texture to either the head or the body - despite applying it to both in the original engine of The Sims.
In the Sim Enhancer 3D utility the pet is one model composed of two models. The texture looks fine in the tool and in the original game but fails to apply said texture on both the head and the body in Simitone. Unfortunately I've been unable to fix this, despite being able to fix a similar issue with Young Cloud who is a human character.
I could fix the issue with Cloud where he had the texture for his baton and for his head showing while the body was a silver surfer - this was fixed by simply adding the model and texture in from scratch through the Sim Enhancer 3D-tool. But when I tried doing the same thing to the cats and dogs it didn't work.
As such custom pets are working in Simitone but not with their entire texture being visible.
The "Cactuar"-dog of Final Fantasy VII has a working texture but that is because the dog is invisible while the cactuar is a prop similar to the tail of Pikachu or Ninetails which also show-up fine.
