Metal Gear Solid 3 is a tactical espionage action game where the objective is to sneak into the enemies base while remaining undetected. While this is the third game in the Metal Gear Solid series, it is actually placed first in the timeline so that it takes place far before the events of the original Metal Gear Solid. The gameplay involves you playing as Naked Snake surviving within the Russian Jungle trying to rescue Sokolov and discover the project that he is developing against his will. Stealth and camoflague are essential skills required to sneak through the game. Brute force approaches are often punished.

Theater 8 is recorded in OBS Studio using either the Elgato HD or the Elgato HD Pro. The silhouettes are recorded using a Logitech 920c web camera. All games are captured from the original game console with the exception of NES games captured with the AVS game system made by RetroUSB. Audio was recorded with a Rode Procaster and Shure SM48. All recordings were not held in front of a live studio audience.

#SPOILERS BELOW - Metal Gear Solid 3 HD Gameplay Notes#
Let's play Metal Gear Solid 3 HD! The game begins as Naked Snake is flying over soviet airspace preparing to do a Halo jump into enemy territory to begin the Virtuous Mission. His mission is to rescue a scientist named Sokolov who is currently developing a top secret military weapon. Sokolov was previously rescued and taken into the protection of the United States but during the Cuban Missile Crisis, Russia demanded Sokolov back which the Americans agreed to in order to avoid all out nuclear war. Now that we are sneaking in to rescue him again, we must avoid being recognized as a US agent at all costs. If captured, the US government will deny all involvement.
Once we land, our backpack is lost which must be retrieved. Snake climbs the tree and recieves his backpack which has all of his camoflague and face paint. Making our way through the jungle, we come across enemy patrols with AK-47s and grenades. The Boss, our former mentor, goes over the basics of CQC and stealth to help us get through these enemies. Matt almost makes it through but an alert is set off at the end of the first area, which means Matt has to knock out every guard in the area which he manages to do.
Continuing on the Virtuous Mission, Matt reaches the area where Sokolov is being held. Unfortunately, Matt is seen again and killed. Matt has to start over this scene which he successfully gets through without alerting any guards. We find Sokolov alone in his room, burning the schematics for a weapon he was working on. After going in to details over what he was working on, Snake and Sokolov leave the room.
