CVS2 MY FIRST VIDEO that started it all
#cvs2 #streetfighter #kingoffighters
Well I didnt think id find it.. But I did.. Or at least what I could get off the tape. My very first combo video I ever made. At the time I made this(basically right when cvs2 came out about)no none japanese person had ever done anything like this in the game. And I got quite a bit of recoginition for it, as generally speaking every combo video was, simple A groove stuff, or simple C groove super to special stuff. There were new links here and some new ideas, mixed with a couple of ghetto japanese stuff that they had showed off. Again the japanese ended up giving me credit in one of their videos and I think mistakenly people thought I was the one who came up with the kim infinite period, but I always said, I just showed it a way to do it and it was possible. But the original idea was always theres and I cant take credit for it. Another thing to remember and im sure people have noticed for whatever reason lots of people in this game made their videos even the japanese for some reason on slow speed, where as I did it on regular speed. I dont know why that is, but I didnt.
Anyway you can still see people talking about the video if you search the internet but sadly no link to it that works anymore so ya.. took some digging but i finally found the old vhs here, or at least what i could get off it. But ya basically at the time this was crazy compared to what anyone else was doing besides japanese, but it wasnt untill I would say GGXX where I really started doing stuff that no one had ever thought would ever even be possible or had ever even remotely done before. But this was a good start.
More lore for this as well I guess again around the end of cvs1 beginning of cvs2 is when I even first heard that there was a fighting game community. I told the story I had played sf as a kid sometimes when my grandma would take me to the arcade, but I had actually had thought sf died and didnt even know people played fighting games anymore. And a friend told me there was a tournament and I should go. Which i had no idea normal people were even allowed to enter say since I mean I was still a kid really at this point, and I was like ok all enter. And well as the story goes I ended up finding out apparently I was pretty good at games to say the least as I beat everyone but the guy who was considered second best in the midwest of america at the time and well rest is history I guess
