Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 - Snippets of trying out new update
I completely forgot how to move and fight in this game. :)
One of the new perks - that automatically "jumps" me to the enemy when performing a strong hit (like Byakko blade did before 2.0) - is bugged and gets me too close. The hit either doesn't connect, or I hit the person behind my intended target. This is why I hit the bystander behind the bandit in the opening shot and angered the police. Will probably need to lose this perk for now.
Attempting to hit anyone with the car mounted weapon is a pain and takes forever. But at least the cars are properly armored now. Before 2.0 everyone would shoot you straight through them.
I may be mistaken, but car mounted missile launchers don't use any targeting and only shoot like several meters in front of you. Totally useless if this is true.
I keep forgetting that I can now deflect bullets with the blade.
I tried performing katana finishers, but those are bugged too. Same animation as before plays, but the victim's body is usually sent flying instead for some reason.
Killing enemies nets you progress in every area, engineering and hacking included. :)
Overall, I get the feeling that they replaced one set of magic nonsensical perks with another. It is my opinion that while all skills should be tied to the character progression, all perks and abilities should only be hailing from your implants. (And the implant progression should be in turn tied to your in-game faction affinity progress, and/or raiding enemy faction for blueprints/loot/personnel.)
I'm conflicted about the severe restriction on the use of the healing items. I get it why they introduced it gameplaywise, but in-game reason behind it should be given too. Like "your body can't handle healing substance overdose" or something. (And don't even get me started on how organic compounds injections and inhalers can "heal" a body that is close to 90% plastic and metal.) Oh, and the restriction on grenades is completely nonsensical. :)
Also, the tier of the clothing just lost any sort of meaning. :)
